Q: How much does a website cost?
A: No two website projects are ever quite alike. Basic information-only "brochure style" designs using your images, text, and other materials can cost substantially less than more advanced sites, like those featuring ecommerce capability, or sites driven by dynamic content. All of our websites are estimated on a per project basis. All estimates and initial consultations are free of charge.
Q: Why are your rates so much lower than other designers I've looked into?
A: We pride ourselves in being affordable enough for nearly any small business but professional enough to work with large corporations. Our low overhead and strong work ethic, combined with years of experience in the industry, gives us the ability to provide extremely competitive rates. Our focus is on client-satisfaction, not the almighty dollar.
Q: What materials will I need to provide you to get started?
A: Different websites require different materials but for nearly all websites we need the following:
- Your company logo in a digital file, if available
- Any brochures or business cards that you might have so that we can provide consistency among your marketing materials
- A list of ideas for the various pages you think your website should contain
- Text descibing who you are and what you do
Q: Who will maintain my website?
A: There are several ways to perform updates on a website. We approach each project differently because of the many variables involved and therefore discuss maintenance plans on a case-by-case basis, taking into account many factors including budget and experience. Should you choose not to maintain your website yourself, Green Tangerine Media offers extremely reasonable web maintenance rates and requires no retainer for our services.
Q: Will people find my site via search engines like Google, MSN, Yahoo!, etc?
A: While we don't work for Google and can't guarantee anything on their behalf, we make it our standard practice to employ compliance with web standards – ensuring that your website can easily be crawled by all of the major search engines. Upon completion of all web designs we submit new sites to several major search engines and provide site maps to assist these engines with crawling your site. We also offer substantial assistance in getting your site optimized for search while it's under construction. Search engine rankings rely on numerous factors and sometimes multiple strategies are required to increase a sites placement.

Q: Do you create ecommerce-capable websites?
A: Of course! We do everything from small and simple 1-2 product websites using PayPal to fully functional database-driven, inventory-controlled Internet superstores – and everything in between.
